About Apra-Virginia |
HISTORY
Apra-Virginia is the local chapter of the Apra International. The first meeting to discuss the formation of a Virginia chapter of Apra was held on November 9, 1994 at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond. Since Apra-Virginia was created, we now have around 90 dues paying members from 40 organizations comprised of higher education institutions (public and private), museums, foundations, hospitals, and many more. In November 2014, Apra-Virginia celebrated its 20th anniversary by holding a two-day conference at the Hilton Garden Hotel in Richmond. The conference included presentations by nationally-known and respected speakers: Josh Birkholz, Principal at Bentz Whaley Flessner, David Lawson, Co-Founder & CEO of NewSci, Chris Pipkins, Associate Vice President at James Madison University, Jay Frost, Partner at Jerold Panas, Linzy & Partners, Sally Boucher, Senior Sales Consultant of Analytics at WealthEngine, and Deb Darling, then Director of Prospect Development at Washington & Lee University. |
